Sleep Train's Pajama Drive for Foster Kids (Charity)

Help make sure California’s 60,000 foster kids sleep tight tonight by donating new PJs to Sleep Train’s annual Pajama Drive for Foster Kids. Moms R Us a support group for women (Parenting support group)
Time: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Location: Orangevale church of Christ
Invites women who are raising or helping to raise children of all ages to join us in learning how to be the best parents God intends for us to be. We meet on Tues mornings from 9:30-11:30 at Orangevale church of Christ, 5915 Main Ave in Orangevale. Our 1st session begins Tues Sept 13th and continues thru May 15th. Our new series will be: Boundaries with Kids by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. One of the most loving things you can do for your children is set firm boundaries with them. Boundaries with Kids will help you raise your kids to take responsibility for their own actions, attitudes, and emotions. In eight sessions, Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend help you bring order to problematic circumstances and cultivate healthier ways of relating with your kids. There are classes for children whose caregiver is attending the mother’s group from Cradle Roll Class to Home School.

Teaming Up for Ecology (Fundraiser)

California Clothing Recyclers and Young Life Capernaum are teaming up to support teens and young adults with disabilities by hosting an eco-friendly fund raiser, “Cash for Clothes” and welcome your support. By simply dropping off your used clothing, shoes, linens, purses and belts on February 6th at Lakehills Covenant Church, 7000 Rossmore Ln, El Dorado Hills, between the hours of 4-7 pm, you can help send a young person to summer camp or Club WOW. Young Life Capernaum is a non-profit Christian ministry devoted to serving the needs of teens and young adults with physical and developmental disabilities throughout the Sacramento area.
