The Chalk It Up Festival returns to Fremont Park in downtown Sacramento this weekend, with over 200 sidewalk paintings created by local artists.  Children are invited to take part in art programs. Free. 10am to 6pm Saturday through Monday.   http://www.chalkitup.org/

Northern California’s longest running free Gospel concert, Praise In The Mountains,  is this weekend in Penn Valley (near Grass Valley.)  Five groups will be performing.  1pm to 8pm, Saturday.

The Sacramento River Cats have a four game home stand against Reno, from Thursday through Sunday at Raley Field.  The games start just after 7pm, except on Sunday, with the first pitch at 5:05pm.
